Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Body Repair: Repair damage to car bodies, ranging from simple dents to structural damages. This includes using techniques like welding, panel beating, and precision alignment to ensure the vehicle’s structural integrity and aesthetics are restored.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate advanced machinery and hand tools to modify or repair automotive frames and structures.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with paint technicians and other repair staff to ensure a coordinated approach to auto body work, guaranteeing high-quality finishes.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of your work to ensure no defects and that all work meets or exceeds the workshop’s quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant workshop area in accordance with company policies and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Auto Body Technician or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry.
  • Technical Qualifications: A professional certification in Auto Body Repair, Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in auto body repair techniques, welding, and the use of body shop tools and machinery.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to restore vehicles to their original condition and to match customer expectations.
  • Teamwork Skills: Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
